This large scale painting/drawing was inspired by my last visit to Bath and one of their cafes. I have a love of plaster so I decided to try something different and I re-drew an original sketch on to a 4ft high plaster board. After applying several layers of paint and rubbing down a little of each layer in between I finally achieved the ‘look’ I wanted. I really like continuous line drawing and selecting eye catching details that may appear random to others. With this painting the elements include snippets of the menu, street names, a clock face and a rather nice hat.
Any images that I have sketched can be commissioned/purchased by a cafe/restaurant/bar and used as interior paintings or wall decorations. I draw from my personal viewpoint often encompassing little details that the majority of people would never even notice.
