It was his stripey blue t-shirt under the checked one that caught my eye which inspired me to get the pencil case out today.
I love the way the body ‘fills a shirt’, the flowing lines, the folds & creases. I was reading a book ( I am rarely without one) and this quote was included in my sketch as it refers to sewing; my second love to drawing.
Another sketch in our favourite coffee shop – Cafe Miros in Hereford. Today the lean, naked & unfussy lights caught my eye as did another one of his shirts. A glass of Pinot Grigio also inspired the sketch!
Pure & simple. This sketch was inspired by the book Tulip Fever by Deborah Moggach and a quote taken from it. Great coffee too.
